Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
This policy explains how Effective Payroll Solutions Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and why you will not see a cookie pop-up. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device to help it work properly or to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, do a comparable job. Some are essential to running a site, while others are used to understand how a site is being used or to build advertising profiles.
The cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum. This is a simple, fast marketing website. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
| Type | Purpose | Set on your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Allow the website to load, display correctly and stay secure. These are essential and cannot be switched off. | Yes, essential only |
| Analytics (PostHog) | We use PostHog to understand which pages are useful and how the site is performing, using aggregated data. It is configured in a privacy-focused way, so it does not store tracking identifiers on your device. | No cookies set |
| Advertising / marketing | We do not use these at all. | None |
Why there is no cookie banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, a website only needs to ask for your consent when it stores non-essential information on your device. We have deliberately built this site so that does not happen: we use strictly necessary cookies only, and our analytics are configured not to place cookies or tracking identifiers on your device. Because there is nothing non-essential to consent to, there is no banner to click through. We think that is a cleaner, more honest experience.
Your choices
You are in control of analytics at any time:
- Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser and our analytics will not run.
- You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Your browser's help pages explain how. Blocking cookies may affect how some websites work, though this site is designed to remain usable.
- If you would like us to exclude your visits from analytics, just let us know.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change the cookies or analytics we use, we will update this page first. Please check back from time to time. If you have any questions, call us on 01443 402116.
